What is MediaCampNottingham?

 

An innovative UnConference exploring the latest digital trends in:

 

  • Web design and development
  • Communications, branding, advertising and PR
  • Arts, media and culture
  • Games and virtual worlds
  • Digital media, blogging and social media.

 

It's FREE and anyone can get involved.

It's an UnConference for knowledge-sharing and collaboration where you set the agenda.

 

Since the first MediaCamp in Buckinghamshire in 2007 PCM creative has aspired to hold a MediaCamp in Nottingham. With ‘NottTuesday’, ‘Nottingham Twestival’ and ‘Web 2.0 Surgery’ exploding on to the scene with such vigour in Nottingham, the first MediaCampNottingham is now set to take place on Saturday 9th May 2009 in Lace Market House. 


  

MediaCampNottingham is a FREE one day event for digital media professionals wanting to share and expand their knowledge, and businesses or social enterprises who are curious about the digital phenomenon wanting to learn more.  This event is to share, explore, challenge and build understanding in digital media. Veterans and new comers alike can learn about audio and video podcasting, blogging, web marketing, graphics, email campaigns, Second Life, Twitter and other social media tools. This event is coordinated through online collaborative working using a wiki. http://mediacampnottingham.pbwiki.com

 

Mission:

 

  • Provide a forum for networking of digital media professionals, representing a large and diverse community of interests and experience.

  • Facilitate an information and ideas exchange on issues relating to creative business and new technologies, including skills and education.

  • Provide a platform for digital industry events, seminars, web 2.0 information exchange and professional special interest groups.

 

 


When?

 

Saturday 9th May and Sunday 10th May

 

Saturday 9th May:

  • 9am to 5pm - Sessions
  • 5.30pm - 6.30pm -  Live performance - Fear of Projection
  • 8pm til late  - Food, drink and social

 

Sunday 10th May: 

  • 11am - 2pm - Late morning coffee and MediaCamp review
